Writing wisdom: time flies when you are having fun

I read an article online somewhere on the pros and cons of self publishing - don't recall the link, and I am too lazy to Google for it. However, it was along the lines of: the more time you spent on self publishing and self-advertising the more time you lose on writing your stories.

I understand completely, especially today. I am longing to continue to write my second English novel "Troubleshooter", but I am writing blogposts instead.

A long and winding road...

A week ago my first English written book "A Brilliant" plan showed up on Amazon's Kindle and Createspace marketplaces, of course so far with about zero sales. To be expected. Today I started laying the basics for some promotion.
Starting an author blog - check (after I save this message and add links to my books)
Starting a Facebook page - check (though I never understand when to use FB and when the blog)
Started registrations as the author of "A Brilliant Plan" on Goodreads.com and Shelfari.com - check
The last splurge of the day will then be a mass submission to various promotion sites for cheap eBooks.

Outstanding for another day is the Smashword submission.
Go, author, go.
